The Arak Aluminum Plant is the first overseas electrolytic aluminum project undertaken by NFC and the first large-scale project undertaken by Chinese enterprises in the overseas aluminum industry. The main project contract of 200kA electrolytic cell was signed in September 2001, and the 200kA electrolytic aluminum production line was completed and put into operation successfully in 2007. The Arak Aluminum Project Department signed a new 68kA electrolytic aluminum plant reconstruction contract with the owner in 2013, to realize the in-depth potential tapping of the project development and consolidate the traditional market. The Arak Project is also the largest project signed by the company in nearly 20 years since its founding in 1983, marking a new level of business for the company in Iran.
