The tailings storage facility of Chima Mountain Copper Mine is located in Baisha Town, Yangxin County, Huangshi City, Hubei Province. Before the closure, the stacking elevation of the tailing pond is about 105 m, the total dam height is 29 m, the tailings stored in the facility is about 85×10⁴?m³, and the total storage capacity is 106×10⁴?m³, making it the Class-IV Facility. The project contract covers the treatment of the facility beach face, the treatment of the beach drainage ditch and the flood drainage system at the tail, the slope treatment at the tail, the treatment of the flood drainage system in the facility, the construction of a new flood drainage system, the blocking of the flood drainage system, and the construction of new monitoring facilities. The total construction period is 145 days, and the acceptance of the facility closure had been completed in October 2022.
